Through use of multiple modalities including talk therapy, mindfulness practices, mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy (MB-CBT), “walk and talk” therapy, meditation, yoga and teletherapy, I have helped my clients navigate and resiliently manage :
I particularly specialize in work with moms and women experiencing life transitions, children and adolescents, and couples/family work.
We all go through periods of high stress that impact our normal functioning -- school, work, relationships and even some happy events like buying a home or getting married can cause great stress. For parents, the demands of caring for our families and managing life events like pregnancy, postpartum recovery and caring for young children can be especially stressful. Therapy is a place to work through feelings of overwhelm and anxiety about life's stresses. We also offer integration of yoga and meditation practices to help you feel your best.
Children and teens experience a range of stressors that can be hard for families to navigate, more so now than ever before. School, peers, changes in family composition and even just normal "growing up" can be stressful and cause disruption. Counseling work with kids and teens is very personalized, offering things like art, journaling, and movement as add-ons to traditional therapy methods, helping your child or loved one to feel at ease and make progress in counseling.
Couples counseling is helpful to couples of all ages and stages, working to strengthen your emotional connection and improve communication to achieve your ideal relationship.
I also offer private supervision to social workers in Connecticut and Massachusetts working towards independent licensure, with flexible scheduling and reasonable rates. Inquire by phone or email for more information.
